Are you a recent graduate with a passion for applied optics, opto-electronics, and cutting-edge optical communication technologies? We are seeking dynamic individuals to join our team as M.Tech Freshers in the fields of Applied Optics, Opto-electronics, Optical Communication, Integrated Optics/Photonics, or related disciplines. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to kickstart their career in the realm of optical network design, validation, and optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, validating, and troubleshooting optical networks to ensure feasibility and optimal performance.
- Demonstrating a solid understanding of Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) fundamentals and concepts, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Applying knowledge of Optical Transport Network (OTN) principles and their applications across metro, long-haul, and data-center networks.
- Proficiency in utilizing essential optical components such as ROADMs, Optical Amplifiers, Multiplexers, Demultiplexers, Transponders, and Muxponders.
- Assessing and mitigating fiber impairments including Polarization Mode Dispersion (PMD) and Chromatic Dispersion.
- Familiarity with linear and nonlinear impairments in optical communication systems, with a focus on crosstalk, Optical Signal-to-Noise Ratio (OSNR), Self-Phase Modulation (SPM), Cross-Phase Modulation (XPM), Four-Wave Mixing (FWM), among others.
- Desired expertise in Coherent Optical Communication Technology, Digital Signal Processing, and high-speed optical signal generation and detection.
- Demonstrating creative problem-solving skills and adept troubleshooting/debugging abilities.
- Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Development, Testing, and Sales.
- Handling Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and managing customer escalations professionally.
- Guiding teams on optical design issues and providing recommendations.
- Experience in optical network planning software and automation of optical tests is advantageous.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java is an added advantage.
