Job description
bug-tracking The QA Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test plans and test cases to ensure the quality of software products. They work closely with development teams to identify and resolve issues and defects, and they participate in all phases of the software development life cycle.
Role & responsibilities
-->Test Planning and Strategy:
o Collaborate with product managers, developers, and business analysts to understand product requirements and create detailed test plans.
-->Test Case Design and Execution:
o Execute manual and automated tests to verify software functionality, performance, and reliability.
-->Automation Testing:
o Develop and maintain automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools.
-->Regression Testing:
o Perform regression testing to ensure that new features or code changes do not introduce new defects or break existing functionality.
-->Defect Management:
o Document and track defects using a bug tracking system..
o Verify bug fixes and ensure they meet acceptance criteria.
-->Performance Testing:
o Conduct performance testing to evaluate system responsiveness, scalability, and stability under various load conditions.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
· Experience with testing frameworks and automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, JIRA, etc.).
· Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, etc.) for automation testing.
· Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
· Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
